Acacia Honey with Honeycomb

Not just honey. The entire hive, in a single jar.

Size290g

Four hive components in one jar

Raw acacia honey · Beeswax micro-fragments · Propolis traces · Pollen. No other product in the acacia range delivers the complete hive - this one does. Nothing added. Nothing removed. Nothing heated.

Raw organic acacia honey from Brandenburg, with real honeycomb directly in. This is the most complete product in the acacia family and the most complete expression of what a beehive actually produces. Honey, beeswax, propolis traces, and pollen: four distinct components, each with its own therapeutic profile, inseparable as nature intended.

Why Honeycomb Changes Everything

A jar of honey, however pure, is a single component of what a beehive produces. Honeycomb adds three more. When whole honeycomb is included into raw acacia honey, as it is in this jar, you receive beeswax, propolis traces, and pollen alongside the honey itself. Each of these components has an independent and extensively researched health profile. Together, they create a product that no amount of processing could replicate: the full complexity of the hive, intact, in the form nature assembled it.

The Four Hive Components - What Each One Does

Raw Acacia Honey

The foundation. Low GI 32, high fructose, enzyme-active, rich in acacetin, quercetin, luteolin and kaempferol. Prebiotic fructooligosaccharides support the gut microbiome. Supports sleep via the tryptophan-to-melatonin pathway. The full profile of Hexapi's pure acacia honey - unchanged and uncompromised.

Beeswax

Beeswax contains long-chain fatty acids (cerotic acid, palmitic acid, and monoesters) with documented liver-protective and cholesterol-modulating properties. It also acts as a natural slow-release matrix: the wax physically slows the passage of honey through the digestive tract, extending the window of nutrient absorption and further moderating the glycaemic response. Chewing honeycomb directly also stimulates jaw muscles and salivary glands, promoting better digestion from the first moment of eating.

Propolis Traces

Propolis - the resinous compound bees use to seal and sterilise the hive — is one of the most extensively studied natural antimicrobials in the world. It contains over 300 identified compounds, including caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), pinocembrin, and galangin. Research documents broad-spectrum antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory activity. Even the trace amounts present in honeycomb contribute meaningfully to the overall antimicrobial and immune-supporting profile of this product.

Pollen

Bee pollen is nutritionally exceptional: up to 35% protein by weight, all essential amino acids, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C, D, and E, plus zinc, iron, magnesium, and over 250 active enzymes. It also contains flavonoids not found in the honey itself, including rutin, which strengthens capillary walls and supports circulation. The pollen present in this honeycomb adds a genuinely distinct nutritional layer that raw honey alone cannot provide.

Health & Nutraceutical Benefits

Broadest antimicrobial profile

Acacia's enzymatic hydrogen peroxide, propolis CAPE and pinocembrin, and beeswax fatty acids combine to produce the widest-spectrum natural antimicrobial activity of any product in the range.

Liver support & detox

Beeswax cerotic acid and palmitic acid esters have documented hepatoprotective activity. Combined with acacia's antioxidant flavonoids, this is the most liver-supportive honey product in the range.

Extended low-GI release

Beeswax physically slows digestion of the honey sugars, extending the already low GI 32 of acacia into an even more gradual blood sugar curve. Ideal for those managing energy levels through the day.

Complete amino acid profile

Pollen contributes all essential amino acids - the building blocks of protein, collagen, enzymes, and neurotransmitters. No other product in the acacia range provides this.

Immune system depth

Propolis's 300+ active compounds, pollen's vitamin and mineral density, and acacia's flavonoid antioxidants together provide layered immune support at multiple biological pathways simultaneously.

Premium gifting presence

Honeycomb visible in the jar is an unmistakable visual signal of quality and authenticity - one of the most powerful natural premium food markers. A gift that communicates nothing was taken away.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Perspective

蜂蜜 性平

Raw honey: neutral, sweet, enters Lung, Spleen, and Large Intestine. Moistens, nourishes, calms. The foundation of the jar.

蜂巢 解毒

Honeycomb (巢脾): in TCM, honeycomb is classified as having detoxifying (解毒) and pain-relieving (止痛) properties. Classical texts note its use for throat inflammation, skin conditions, and liver protection.

蜂膠 清熱解毒

Propolis (蜂膠): one of the most studied bee products in Chinese functional medicine. Classified as 清熱解毒 - clearing heat and toxins. Widely used in HK as a daily immune supplement.

花粉 補氣養血

Pollen (花粉): classified as 補氣養血 - tonifies Qi and nourishes the blood. Supports vitality, complexion, and recovery from fatigue or illness.

完整蜂巢精華

The whole hive essence - a concept that resonates deeply with TCM's philosophy of 整體 (wholeness): nothing separated, nothing discarded, the full intelligence of nature preserved in one form.

In TCM philosophy, the closer a food is to its natural, unprocessed state, the more complete its 氣 (Qi). This jar is the closest thing to eating directly from the hive. That completeness is not a marketing claim. It is a measurable biochemical fact.

Daily Rituals & Ways to Use

Morning

空腹 · The most complete morning ritual A teaspoon including a piece of honeycomb in warm water on an empty stomach. The beeswax slows sugar absorption; the propolis traces begin their antimicrobial work; the pollen delivers its amino acid payload. The most nutritionally complete start you can make with honey.

Direct

Eat the honeycomb directly Place a small piece on the tongue and chew gently. The honey releases first, then the wax. Chewing beeswax stimulates salivary enzyme production and jaw circulation. Many people swallow the softened wax, which is harmless and continues its liver-supportive work in the gut. Others discard it - both are fine.

On Food

The most impressive breakfast table presence Spoon over yoghurt, cheese, sourdough, or congee. The visual of honeycomb in a dish communicates quality before a single bite. Warmth from food will not destroy the enzymes unless the dish is above 45°C.

Evening

睡前 · Before bed A teaspoon in warm water. The beeswax matrix slows the honey's sugar release overnight, providing a more sustained liver glycogen replenishment than liquid honey alone - supporting deeper, longer sleep.

Gifting

The most premium honey gift in the range This is Hexapi's statement product. The visible honeycomb requires no explanation: this is real, this is whole, this is the best. For corporate gifting, senior recipients, and occasions where only the most considered gift will do.

Frequently Asked

Hexapi Honey Bee Icon Is it safe to eat the beeswax?

Yes. Beeswax is a natural food-grade substance (E901) and completely safe to consume. The long-chain fatty acids pass through the gut slowly, exerting liver-protective effects along the way. Some people prefer to chew and discard; both approaches are fine.

Hexapi Honey Bee Icon Why is this more expensive than the pure acacia honey?

Three reasons. First, honeycomb requires far more labour to harvest - entire comb sections rather than centrifuge extraction. Second, beeswax, propolis, and pollen genuinely add nutraceutical value - this is a four-component product. Third, the price offer for 290g remains meaningfully less expensive than high-grade manuka honey with a narrower active compound profile.

Hexapi Honey Bee Icon Is it suitable as a gift for someone who has never eaten honeycomb?

Ideal for exactly that person. The first experience of eating honeycomb is genuinely memorable. Include a short note (place a piece on the tongue, chew gently; wax is safe to swallow or discard) and the gift becomes an experience.

Hexapi Honey Bee Icon Is it safe for children?

Yes, for children over 12 months. Note: children with known pollen allergies should be introduced to this product in very small amounts first. Honey is not suitable for infants under 12 months.
